In honor of OT Month, we are sharing tips, stories, and pictures of some of our Occupational Therapy staff. Today, meet COTA, Elise Bondy.
What do you like
most about being and OT?
Every child is different, so my work is constantly changing
and always challenging.
When I'm working with a child helping them to learn a skill, the moment they
realize they can "do it" themselves makes me as excited as they are!
What made you
decide to become an OT?
I have a grandson with Aspergers and I took care of a little
boy with developmental
delays due to a skull fracture. They both received Occupational Therapy at 3
years old and I witnessed the profound effect it had on their lives. I had
always loved working with children and now I saw a way to really make a
difference while doing what I loved.
